Special Olympics' Polar Plunge

I had the privilege of attending the Special Olympics' Polar Plunge because I have friends who teach in Special Education Classrooms plunging! They invited me to come and take pictures.... As you well know I can't pass an opportunity like that, so I went! It was totally a blast! I really would love to go every year but as I learned from some of the other many photographers and parents just wanting to get some pics of their kids.... This year was particularly good so we'll have to see if this becomes a regular thing for me! :D Anyway I'm rambling.... I had the awesome opportunity to go to the Barlow Girl/Superchic[k] Tour. I talked to my people(Natalie Barlow) and they were able to get me an All Access Pass so I could get some sweet pics! The show was amazing and thanks to Ross Dettman for allowing me to borrow his 85mm f1.8 with which I was able to get these pics....

Cait Elizabeth

Everyone say "hi" to Cait Elizabeth! Cait is an amazing photographer living in North Carolina's Charlotte area and I'm happy to say she's my friend! I may have to correct myself on that one because she's actually more like a little sister to me... I met her while on a photoshoot with the great Sarah Barlow and after only one meeting (and lots of FaceBook chats and texts) I was invited to her home.... Her mom is the one who actually invited me to stay and thought it would be a great surprise for Cait's 18th Birthday! I'm not gonna lie.... that was a BLAST! Anyway she's a super talented photog and an amazing woman of God so give her site and blog a look and enjoy the pics!

Vegas.... Day before WPPI

Day before WPPI I arrived in Vegas.... Teresa Burton her Daughter Christi and Cait Elizabeth came to pick me up from the airport. we went back to the resort and dropped my bags. Cait, Christi and I couldn't wait to start shooting so we went out on the pool deck and just "did our thing".... We wandered around the resort just doing mini photoshoots so that's where the first pics are from.... then we went to Red Rock Canyon which is about a 45 min ride outside Vegas. Ugh that place is amazing! So the cool rock formations that you'll see are from there... We just had a blast I seriously can't wait till next year!
